Memoir and photographs, ca. 1943-1990.

Contains information concerning his flight training in which he learned to pilot the B-17 Bomber and his overseas base at Mendelsham, England. Hemingway flew 35 combat missions over Germany and provides a detailed account of each mission. Also includes information about London, where he his spent time off. Hemingway also discusses his non-combat assignment at the 5th Strategic Air Depot in Merville, France as an assistant operations manger. Collection contains photographs of Hemingway, his crew, and Merville. Includes photocopies of Hemingway's diary of combat missions and a newspaper clipping describing a bombing mission from November 30, 1944.
